The tea base is sourced from the Rohini Estate in the heart of the Himalayas, located in the Darjeeling Kurseong Valley. As a representative of the younger generation of estates, it spans 146 hectares of terraced tea gardens with significant altitude variation. The tea trees, planted in 1966, have yet to reach their full maturity, with 108 hectares of young tea trees and 38 hectares of Chinese small-leaf tea trees, producing the rare summer-harvested muscatel grape black tea. Surrounded by high mountains, nourished by monsoon rains, and with fertile soil, the estate provides an ideal environment for tea cultivation. |
