The tea leaves are dark and glossy, with the Classic Muscatel grape flavor, complemented by hints of nuts, wood, and brown sugar. The taste is sweet, full-bodied, and lively with tannins. The tea liquor showcases the signature floral and fruity notes of Darjeeling summer flush, with a gentle honey and chestnut sweetness lingering at the bottom of the cup.

 

The SUNGMA Estate is located in the charming Mirik Valley and includes two independent tea gardens: Sungma and Turzum, both founded in the 1860s. A major earthquake destroyed the Sungma tea factory, leading to the merger of the two gardens, with all production moving to the Turzum factory. The estate, at altitudes ranging from 1,100 to 1,700 meters, spans 282 hectares with an annual output of 150 tons. The merged estate is surrounded by other renowned gardens, including Avongrove to the east and Gopaldhara to the south. Notable teas from the estate include Turzum Himalayan Mystic and Sungma Classic China Musk.
